Reflexology

reflex-2

Reflexology is a protocol of manual techniques, such as thumb and finger walking, hook and backup and rotating-on-a-point, applied to specific reflex areas predominantly on the feet and hands. These techniques stimulate the complex neural pathways linking body systems, supporting the body’s efforts to function optimally. The effectiveness of reflexology is recognized worldwide by various national health institutions and the public at large as a distinct complementary practice within the holistic health field.

A discussion of your medical history takes place on the first treatment. This is to make sure that reflexology is suitable for you if you are currently under any medical treatment. Seated in a special reclining chair that supports your back, the treatment involves light but firm compression massage to the soles and uppers of your feet. Massaging the reflex points it is possible to detect imbalances or small deposits which may show a problem in the corresponding area of your body. By working these points, blockages can be released restoring  free-flowing energy to the whole body. Circulation and elimination are improved and tension in the body is eased.
This is a gentle therapy which encourages the body to heal itself.

A foot treatment lasts one hour and costs £35
